Child prostitution is a domestic, not just international, issue
Friday, February 19, 2010 at 1:02PM In 2003, the UK passed a law that included life imprisonment as a possible penalty for anyone who pays for sex with a child. Here in the US, child prostitution laws also include a possible life sentence, but they only cover acts committed within the country's borders. In the UK, the law also extends to those traveling internationally. And therein lies the difference.
