Spotlight: Women's Media Center

Every now and then, I’m reminded of the better things in life: a cold beer, a kiss from a puppy, and the growing strength of women in power positions in media. When I first started college, a large number of my journalism classmates were boys – and all but one of my professors was a man. It’s not because women were scared to go into the field, but because many of us saw that most of the best known and celebrated news anchors and reporters were men, that many of my peers who had expressed interest in journalism and ended up in advertising…ended up in advertising.
